Neuro-Inclusive Counselling
About
Welcome, I'm Lauren
I am a neuro-inclusive counsellor registered with BACP.
If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I welcome you to be in touch.
To me, neuro-Inclusive counselling means holding a space where everyone is welcome, can feel seen and understood and is met with the human compassion we all need.

After my own autism diagnosis and ADHD self-identification, training and specialism in these areas, I offer a space where belonging, acceptance and an informed environment set the tone.

Here we can slow things down and find clarity on what's brought you to seek counselling.

My
Approach
I have worked with:
- clients from a wide range of backgrounds, presenting issues, ages and neurotypes in research-based clinical settings and in private practice

- acute and complex trauma and the ways these can show up

- neurodiverse clients after my own diagnosis, training and specialism in this area

- referrals from autism and ADHD assessments
I draw from many theories and ways of working but my core intention is to help build transformative relationships from which you can grow, heal and experience lasting change.

My authenticity, warmth and inclusive approach help create a non-judgemental environment. Here, your whole being and experience is welcome.

Intro Call
Free 20 minute call
If you feel I may be a good fit for what you're looking for, I offer a free 20-minute phone call to give us a chance to say hello, see how it feels to speak on the phone and allow you to ask any initial questions you may have.
Initial Session
Based online
In-person sessions available
There is never any obligation to continue after an initial session. This first hour gives us the chance to expand on what has brought you to seek counselling, to get a feel for what it's like to be in the space together, establish your desired outcomes (we can figure this out if you're unsure) and to discuss ways we can work together towards these.
Counselling Session
Based online
In-person sessions available
I hold 60 minute sessions as I find it takes the edge off and allows us to get the most from a session. If working open-endedly I will ask that we hold space every 6 weeks to review how you're feeling in relation to your desired outcomes and for us to make any adjustments needed.
